Goddamn, I slack.

What's going on? Nothing really. Work, work, work. I'm having to be in the office now at 9AM, so I've greatly cut back on the weekday partying, which I'm finding is making me more reticent to be out and about even on the weekends. Could be good, could be bad, could be the fucking weather. Which mostly, I love. I'd prefer to be bundled up to hot and uncomfortable. Though, they do have a propensity in my office to keep it at a frigid temperature which is not copasetic with typing. I don't quite get it.

I didn't do shit over xmas. I did get one of those neat standing fountains from my mother, but that's it. I find that as I get older I'm entirely apathetic about the holidays in general and just don't care for the mentalities that tie into it. I spent xmas eve getting hammered with friends, which was fantastic, and xmas day in bed reading, and chatting with friends. New years should be fun, no matter what I decide to do. Though I suspect I'll end up in Bremerton at Matt's parents cabin - but I'm unsure. I don't really want to drive all the way up there, much less am I thrilled about the concept of staying at someone elses place for any amount of time. I don't know what it is with me and that timid phobia, but I suspect it traces back to my being mildly OCD, and knowing what I like, and how I like it. Uncertainty will be the fucking death of me.

Music has been going good, though we're still on the bassplayer hunt. It turns out this is a more tedious task than I really expected it to be. The holidays of course have accentuated this and made it more difficult to schedule anything. However after recording, a break isn't a terrible thing. The new songs sound fucking amazing, and I'm awaiting the masters (which I need to get off my ass and pickup). I'm anxious for more people to hear them, if you're interested I'm sure we can figure something out.

Anyhow, I'm at work, I suppose I should focus on being productive.

studio is bueno my good friends, though I forgot what a complete and total bitch it is to play with a click track after a long time of not doing so - goddamn computers always being right and shit.

i had a run in with mr. caffiene today - which I normally don't go near, but for some reason a nice cup of coffee seemed like a brilliant idea. The results were diasterous, never has anyone in the history of the world rushed beats like I did today. The solution you say? Much stretching, and pounding a couple cold ones, and I was back on. Yesterday was much smoother as soon as I got used to the tempo I didn't have too many issues pounding it all out.

What fun I had today at El' Zoo!

Monday, monday, monday!

So yesterday I had a meeting in San Jose, or there abouts, so we thought.

So, I get up, we fly into San Jose, get a rental car, and start driving twords our destination. 40 Minutes later we arrive and it's practically acrossed the street from the San Fransisco airport ::rollseyes::. So, we go eat some lunch and head to the building we're due to meet in.

The guy who had us fly down from Oregon to demo our product -called in sick that day-. Now, it's one thing to call in sick, it's another to not notify the people who are spending their entire day travelling to come and meet with you. So, we get to meet with another guy, who as far as I could tell was not the right person for us to be talking to, at all.

Post meeting, and realizing that I'm spitting distance from SFO, I realize that it's better to just switch my flight so that I don't have to take a 120498120498102498 billion dollar cab ride to San Jose. After waiting on hold with Orbitz for 1249812 hours, I went into the airport and talked to the lovely young lady from Alaska, who changed my flight for me. I promptly hit the bar, busted out my laptop, and signed up for a tmobile wireless daypass!

I got home around 8 or so to an empty quiet house. Sat on the couch for a while and chatted it up with some friends, and then hit my bed.

Today hasn't been very exciting. Several days last week I didn't drink, and I didn't smoke and my body felt so much better. I had a couple a drinks on two nights but the rest of the time was great. I'm going to keep doing this for a while - plus, I figure it's a good way to save some cash and start working on some of my other goals.
